In a sense we hold the destiny of those we love in our hands. If we love and accept them, they will be empowered to accept and love themselves. WE ARE LIKE A MIRROR STANDING IN FRONT OF THEM, SAYING, " LOOK!! YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. YOU'RE REALLY OK. OF COURSE YOU HAVE PROBLEMS, AND I'M NOT DENYING THAT. WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT YOU ARE OKAY. I ACCEPT YOU WHERE EVER YOU ARE. I CARE ABOUT YOU." If we can extend acceptance like this to one another,we will all individually grow in self-understanding and self-acceptance. Whatever the symptoms are,the real problem is always the same.... If you were like millions of others recently, your eyes probably darted to the television set sometime in the later evening hours while the Mega Millions jackpot was being drawn. After all, there were only around 650 million dollars up for grabs to the lucky winner(s), and mostly likely, visions of what you could do with all that free cash flew through your mind at super-light speed as the balls on the screen began to drop into their final resting places. Winning the lottery is one of our ultimate fantasies, a sudden life changer (for better or worse), and offers a unique blend of hope and... Read More
A Passage To The Heart
In having worked with hundreds of people in discovering the experience of self-love, I've concluded that there is a physical location where self love resides and is felt. A person can connect with the experience of self love at any time if the passage to this location is fully open. This location is the heart. If the passage to the heart is blocked, no authentic experience of your self and love for your self can be experienced.
So, what is this passage filled with that you can't get to the experience of this love ?
This passage is filled... Read More

In case you don’t recognize the man in the picture, he’s B.B. King, perhaps the most famous blues guitarist of our century.
I had the pleasure of seeing him perform during the 90’s in Washington D.C., and most recently here in Dallas a few weeks ago. He’s definitely slowed down some, lagging the aggressive and mesmerizing zip he once had (taking about 30 minutes to introduce his band). But, despite the fact that Mr. King is now well into his 80’s, thousands still flock to see him play every year looking to catch the wave of a living legend, still doing what he can to make us smile through... I haven't said much about what my work has been. I have been so blessed to actually go to a job that I love...that brings purpose to my life. Life is so much better (not to mention easier) when you know where you are going, and what you need to do with your life.
One of my first jobs after my marriage ended was working in a drop-in with street people and the homeless. I hadn't worked in years, having stayed home raising my three children. I was a little anxious to be back out there in the real world again. I had worked a contract position doing community development work, and was offered... Read More
So . . . are you free to be ye yet?
Despite all the awe-inspiring technological advances in life, the countless avenues for gathering information, unlimited research on everything imaginable and the openness of modern life that allows pretty much anyone to share deep insight on absolutely anything that briefly piques their interest due to unlimited access to avenues of expression . . . we're not much closer to resolving the issues that lead us into rebellion and separation and solitude, it seems, or to the truth on the issues that blind us, bind us or define us.
We bow our heads... Read More
