I am sure many will find this a difficult film to watch. I liken it to a horror film, sans werewolves or vampires, it's a story of the future (2027) in which our entire world is in chaos. A world where mankind has lost it's ability to procreate and the youngest person in the world was just murdered at the ripe age of 18 years old.
London, England is the backdrop for the racist nationalistic Government's attempt to ethnically cleanse England of any "outside influences". Toss in the arrival of the first pregnant woman in almost two decades and we become witnesses to a classic cinematic struggle... Read More
In the spirit of 20-somethings across America, I thought I’d start the New Year by finishing my Christmas shopping. Well not shopping per say, but I do have a belated holiday gift for the fans and soon-to-be fans of the Perry Bible Fellowship webcomic: an interview with creator Nicholas Gurewitch.
An aesthetic chameleon and subtle comedian, Gurewitch has been able to balance the profane with the profound, the clever with the silly—and all in four frames or less. The 24 year old New York native started PBF comics while attending film school, a background that may account for his keen ability... Read More
It's safe to say that on an average day, you can observe at least five people working on a screenplay in or around West Hollywood without even trying. Usually, they are bent over a steaming mug of Joe, are clutching a highlighter like there is no tomorrow and are grimacing at the result of their 2oth re-write.
Surprisingly, even with all these struggling writers clamoring for a piece of the marquee, 2007 is slated to be the "Year of the Sequel".
You may be thinking, “Wait, wasn't 2006 chock full of sequels too?"
Sure, we had "Pirates of the Caribbean 2", "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning",... Read More
At four o’clock in the afternoon, it was 30 Fahrenheit and my Fiancé and I were looking for somewhere warm to sit, drink some wine and conduct our personal Scrabble tournament. We set our sights on the quaint cottage-cum-café that we’d noticed earlier on the main street in town. As we weaved through the tall Pines and Cedars, leaving our foot prints in the perfectly white and fluffy snow, Hennessey – our rental cabin owner’s adorable mutt - trailing us with her ball, we spotted the chimney smoke of Café Aroma, promising a roaring log fire; the perfect setting for a serious Scrabble... While traditional medias are busy covering topics as significant as whether Miss USA will have to give her title back, or the feud between Donald Trump and Rosie O'Donnell (her "you went bankrupt", him "you're fat and ugly"), talented individuals are quietly working in the shadow and influence the lives of millions. Gilad Benari is one of them.

Not only does he regularly submit breathtaking pictures to this website, but he also uses... Read More
This isn't a good film, this is a great film. When you drop your bum into that theater seat, you had better buckle up because you are about go on a visual ride of the likes you will never find at any amusement park.
The film is first a story of mans values, or lack of them. Blood diamonds or Conflict diamonds, call them what you wish. Diamonds mined at the expense of human lives and misery. A good story that seems to scream the word "reality". You can be assured that no representative of the diamond cartel, De Beers is likely to be quoted, "Yes, this film accurately portrays the way we do business,... Read More
